Two and a half years: this is the short time it took to transform an old RATP depot on rue des Pyrénées into a “mythical land” of graffiti. If the magic has worked, it is thanks to the combined talents of several dozen artists from all over the world to place their colors, their styles, their words, their flames on the hundreds of meters of walls made available to them between the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2012. For example, young and big names in graffiti came into contact with each other to paint, sometimes out of a simple desire to give a little of their personality to the walls, but sometimes also out of a desire to expose the news, to support it, to react while showing passers-by the world with different eyes. It is in this spirit that this book was conceived, with as much attention to the pleasure of the eyes as to that of the mind. Throughout the pages, the works mingle with each other, giving way to six focuss on artists, crews or frescoes that have mainly marked the life of the depot under the blows of sprays. This book is intended as a tribute to the artists who have made the Pyrenees a pinnacle of graffiti…
