The name “Poison” is connected to Roman Subway history — the first in the Blackbook Cult Series could not have been more appropriately dedicated to anyone else. The photographic section of the book is comprised of over 100 of the 700 panels that he has created since 1998. Also included are insightful comments from the writer himself, along with an in-depth interview which bluntly reveals the life experience between the rails of the Roman writing scene. This is a unique opportunity to get closer to King Poison, and to the huge urban jungle called Rome.
The notorious Roman madman Poison. Mr., or Doctor Poison, started his graffiti career in the first half of the 90s, and during that time he has hundreds of pieces to his credit. His oneman end to ends, carrying various messages such as Back in Black (AC/DC), Passion and Violence, etc. have become classics.
Due to the fact that he concentrated his activity mainly on the blue B line of the subway in Rome, where, thanks to the absence of a buff and constant activity, his name was still present, over time he logically received the status of King of Blue, from which the very title of the book is based. Rome tends to be referred to as the New York of Europe in the graffiti community for its destroyed subway sets, and is also known for its sophisticated conceptual end-to-end ends, in which Poison made a significant contribution despite the difficult conditions.
