For the first time, an entire book is dedicated to the subject of football graffiti. In other words, hundreds of photos, exclusive interviews with the protagonists of the scene and writer stories draw attention to a phenomenon that has existed since there have been ultras in German stadiums.
The idea
The book Fußballgraffiti arose from the need to depict the most active Ultras scenes in this field and to have their say. There is an easy answer to the why. Never before has this topic been dealt with in such detail. Years ago still ridiculed, graffiti related to football has gained in quality in many places, and has become a fixed point of reference between club and city. It was time to document this in detail.
Work on this project began in 2015 and will be completed in 2020. The book goes far beyond a photo book, extensive interviews and writer stories give unprecedented insights into the different views and experiences of their protagonists. It thus claims to become a standard work for football graffiti.
The protagonists
The book project was actively supported from the following scenes:
FC Hansa Rostock, SG Dynamo Dresden, VfB Stuttgart, 1. FC Union Berlin, Borussia Dortmund, 1. FC Köln, BSG Chemie Leipzig, 1.
