Les Murs De L’Atlantique- USED- A

After the success of Kapital, a year of graffiti in Paris and that of La France d’en bas, the graffiti scene in the South, the Alternative editions continue with Les Murs de l’Atlantique to report on national graffiti production.

For the first time, a book highlights the creativity and amazing productivity of graffiti practiced in the West of France. Far from the beach, the walls … Starting from Brest and passing through Rennes, Nantes, Niort, La Rochelle, up to Bordeaux, the authors of this book wanted to show the graffiti landscape as they have it discovered during their journey. “The adventure of this book, they sum up, is a road trip, a 9-seater minibus, a highly motivated team, (…), 6 days of non-stop travel punctuated by meetings, meetings in the field, interviews, photo sessions, (…) and above all anecdotes and head-full images. ”

A brief presentation of each city precedes a history of its local scene before giving the floor to the graffiti artists themselves. Complemented by an inventory of the different crews, a technical and stylistic glossary, as well as a precious lexicon, this work allows a complete immersion in the graffiti environment.

Through more than 350 photographs, the authors lead you, along the streets, along the railways and in the fields to discover the experienced actors of the great West.

Pick Up Production is an organization, communication and production platform based in Nantes and created in 1999. Three development poles (event, cinema, music) allow the implementation of these activities. Pick Up Production notably organizes the Nantes Hip-Hop festival.
