Eppo Wordt Vervolgd is a Dutch comic magazine which appeared weekly and focused on the boys’ audience. In 1986 several issues of the magazine contained graffiti. Issue number 5 contains a double page of a giant piece of art; a whale painted by 28-year-old Robert Wyland from California. Issue number 24 of the same year contains a page calling for designs to be submitted for a graffiti contest. Issue number 36 contains a comic by Sjors & Sjimmie in which the two cartoon characters practice graffiti. Also the results of the graffiti design contest in which the submitted designs were shown on a double page .
Another edition of Eppo Wordt Vervolgd include a photo report by the Rotterdam crew Bad Boyz who, together with cartoonist Robert van der Kroft (Sjors en Sjimmie), are painting in Amsterdam. There is also an Eppo Wordt Vervolgd issue with a photo report sof production of the pieces painted by the winners of the design contest.
At the time graffiti in mainstream media was not common. This magazine was very popular among up-and-coming graffiti writers in the Netherlands. It got teens into graffiti if they were not already. It gave some insight in how to paint, design, who is who etc. And like the few books and (mainstream) magazines that contained graffiti, available in bookstores and libraries, got racked bigtime.
The Eppo Wordt Vervolgd issues that contain graffiti are sought by Dutch collectors of graffiti media.
